A USD 178,000 Scholarship for UC Berkeley Haas: Serhii Tokarev and SET University Offer Full Tuition Coverage
The Tokarev Foundation and SET University will fully cover tuition fees for the two-year MBA program at UC Berkeley Haas. The scholarship is available to all Ukrainian citizens, regardless of age or place of residence. Applicants are responsible for preparing the required documents and completing the admission process independently. The initiative was announced by Serhii Tokarev, an investor and founder of the Tokarev Foundation.
What Is Known About the Program and How to Apply
UC Berkeley Haas ranks among the world’s top ten business schools in rankings published by the Financial Times and Bloomberg. The two-year MBA program gives students access to the Silicon Valley ecosystem, including venture capital networks, the entrepreneurial community, and technology companies. The scholarship from the Tokarev Foundation and SET University is open to any Ukrainian citizen and covers tuition fees worth USD 178,000.
“Pursuing an MBA at one of the world’s leading business schools is not simply about earning a degree; it is about gaining access to the entire Silicon Valley ecosystem. This is the scarcest resource for any modern entrepreneur. We believe that education is the investment with the longest-term return,” says Serhii Tokarev.
To take part in the program, the candidate must have:
- a bachelor’s degree with an official translation of academic transcripts;
- GMAT or GRE results;
- motivation essays;
- proof of English proficiency at C1 level;
- two letters of recommendation: one from the applicant’s current manager and another from a former manager, founder or mentor.
In addition, there is an informal requirement of at least two years of professional experience. The organizers also have a special requirement: the candidate must have an idea that will influence the development of Ukraine’s technology sector through education, entrepreneurship, investment or scientific work.
If the candidate is admitted to the school, they will take part in various events, including public talks, conferences and discussions about their study experience.
Applications 2026-2027
Applications to the 2026–2027 MBA program are accepted in two rounds: Round 1 closes on 10 September 2026, and Round 2 closes on 7 January 2027. To apply for the scholarship, candidates must complete an online form on the organizers’ website by 3 September for Round 1 or 31 December 2026 for Round 2. The SET University team will then provide a list of the school’s requirements and guidance on the timeline and admission process. If the applicant is admitted, the Tokarev Foundation will cover their tuition fees.
